I have a noisy clattering discharge pump when successfully discharging water. Would it behoove me to pull the pump to inpect for loose articles or just replace it. thx for your help.

Stavros,
My opinion, "it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it."
Part number: AP4438603

Chances are, if theres something in the drain pump housing, the impeller and or the seal could be damaged, and you'd eventually have a drain or leak issue in the near future, anyway.
AppliancePartsPros.com has a very good and easy 365 day return policy(even on electrical parts).

Good Luck and Thanks,
:) :) :)
