Hi,

Recently, the heating element blew when a fork landed on it while it was heating and caused it to crack. I replaced it but it doesn't get power at any time during the cycle. The hi-limit thermostat has continuity. I can use a DVOM and solder and I've had the control board out before for another issue, so if it's the control board, I'd appreciate specific trouble shooting directions. Thanks.

Per the schematic, check the control board output pin that supplies voltage to the heater. If no voltage=bad board. You might want to check for a fused open ribbon on the board.

Finally got around to doing the repair. The back of the board had a fused ribbon like you said. Bypassed it by soldering a short piece of insulated wire across the fused section, but still didn't work so will get a new board - must have blown one or more of the solid state components on the board. Thanks.
