Model Number: DU 1055 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
The DW is getting water and it drains it out fine, but it is not disolving the soap. it is just laying in the bottom of the Dw when its done. I dont think it is pumping the water in the wash cycle?

Remove the pump housing with all the torq screws and remove the semi-round pump cover. If the chopper is clogged, replace it and the check valve in the bottom pump housing next to the chopper. If the chopper end that mates with the pump impeller is worn a lot, also replace the pump impeller, you will have to remove dishwasher to do this.Post results please.
