GE Dishwasher leaking
Model Number: GSC3400J00BB Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
Hello! I seem to have a water leakage issue with my dishwasher. It starts pushing water out on either side of the unit when it fills up. Upon first look it seemed the door gasket was at fault. The corners were smashed really flat so I went ahead and ordered a new gasket(WD08X10057). No go. Same issue. So I thought maybe the corner seals so I replaced them as well, still leaks. There is a gap of about 4 inches at the bottom of the gasket. I see in the parts diagram that there is an insert for in there(WD08X10015). Did my unit come with this insert? I can't see how it would have gotten lost? Is it possible I have another issue all together?

The first thing I would do is open the door after it started to leak and check the water level. Check for bubbles in the water.
Also you can adjust the door latch by moving the latch keeper (#50 on the diagram) inward to have the door closed more tight. Post the results. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for GE GSC3400J00BB | AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.

Ok, so I went to check the water level. After it filled and began to leak I opened the door. There was soap suds up pretty high so I ran it through a couple more fill and drain cycles. Now it doesn't leak. I feel like a doofus, lol. Please tell me it wasn't just excess soap in the tub. I wouldn't feel so bad about the money I just spent on those gaskets.

The water level is even with the heating element in the tub and the top of the corner gaskets. The water is not soapy and the machine is not leaking. I will attempt to add soap and run it and post back with the results. Thanks alot for your time.

There are a few things which could cause it.
If you used a rinse aid and overfill the cup or the cup is leaking, that rinse aid will create a lot of suds, causing water leak. Another possibility to create suds is if you prerinse dishes using a regular detergent for a manual wash and left some of it on dishes. Gene.
