Model Number: SHU4302UC/U06 Brand: Bosch Age: 5 - 10 years
Our Bosch Dishwasher continues to run on the wash cycle for hours. Will not stop or go to the rinse/dry cycle unless we turn it off.
Thanks for your help! |

Run the diagnostic program - power on button while depressing power scrub and regular wash. Press again to run diagnostic set. See instructions at ************.com or in document pages on this site. Sounds like heater is broke. So its never cycling to drain and rinse.

Over this past weekend, I dismantled my SHU4306 to replace the drain motor. I was able to do this without taking off the white catch basin at the base of the unit but it was like putting on a watch with both hands in a cracker box. I removed the left side panel by sliding up the rubber seal and removing the two torx screws on the left door column. To get to the heater assembly, you'll want to do the same on the right side. Also, remove the silver sheet metal at the door hinge for gaining access. As I did not have to access the circulator or heater, that is all I can tell you. Having the replacement part in hand will give you a good idea on how to remove the old part. Also, use silicone grease for the gasket seals. If you have to take off the whole base, you are going to uncharted waters for me. My unit runs like a quiet dream again. Best wishes!!

Hold -on. I have this same machine and these are known for having a bad solder joint on the control board. Very common problem easily mistaken for a burnt out heater. Do a search on google for your your model # machine and symptom. Some sites will even give you pictures of where the problem is.

I have the SHit, shame on U 4306UC/U06. My dishwasher also did not complete the cycle.
I bought this dishwasher new and installed it myself in Nov. 2000; of coarse the warrantee on the electronics was only good for 5 years. I changed my old dishwasher (Whirlpool) because of the age, noise and the cosmetic rust. What’s interesting is my old unit was over 20 years and I never had to call a service man out. After having the repair man out and spending $100 for labor and $200 for a new Control Panel, it’s now running again. What I should have done is re-solder the heater relay myself and see if this worked. Before I put out the expense of a repair, which was 50% of the original cost. If you’re willing to take out 6 screws to remove the top cover, you will see that your circuit board will have a burnt solder joint, Easley repairable with a $15.00 solder iron! Bosch should have a recall on these Control Panel and have there service technicians change it out at there expense, instead of taking advantage of the Consumer for there own Corporate Profits. I only wish Consumers Reports would talk with me before they publish another report. Malise |

Good call Sparky. I'm sorry Malise; I 'd seen the relay solder point burnt open on repariclinicdotcom but I looked at my board and with three years use it is pristine. So I discounted it. I hope I'm not hearing about my future. If you got a new board, I'd check it once in a while for overheating on the same contact. It doesn't mean the board is bad; it could mean the heater is defective and drawing too much current.

You need to reopen your browser, search by your model and scroll down to the tech sheets. It happens to me also when I leave the screen and try to backspace.
