Dishwasher Door Latch Assy - what part needs replacing?
Model Number: 665.13769k602 Brand: Kenmore Age: 1 - 5 years
I have a 2 yr old Kenmore/Whirlpool dishwasher (model 665.13769k602). The handle/latch on it does not have any "spring action", feels loose, and will not lock into place (thus cannot use dw). I opened the control panel and removed the door latch assembly. There's three plastic parts (actuator latch, latch bolt, handle) and I can't figure out which is broke or needs to be replaced (or maybe the switch needs replacing?). Are there supposed to be springs inside (because I don't see any), or what gives the handle that spring action feel when you pull on it with normal use?
I'm hoping this is an easy fix and I can repair myself. Related Models
