I recently replaced my drain Solenoid & Bracket Assembly(Part # GEWD21X100) on my GE Dishwasher due to the water not draining out of the dishwasher. The old Solenoid had melted and the Drain solenoid plunger and armature was stuck in the Solenoid assembly in the up position.

Upon replacing the Solenoid and Bracket Assembly, the Dishwasher worked great for about 4 months, then the same issue occurred. I replaced the Solenoid again, and now the water will drain(most the time), but soap will stay in the dishwasher and the dishes are not clean. When running the unit through the cycles, when the systems calls to drain and activate the Solenoid, the Armature and linkage does not go up, but instead is stuck down in the drain Solenoid. I thought the arm was suppose to extend up from the Solenoid and the natural weight of the arm hold the pump down when not active to keep water inside the machine?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
