Default Some Cotrol Panel push buttons do not work
Model Number: KUDM25SHBL1   Brand: Kitchen Aid   Age: 5 - 10 years

Some of the pressure-sensitive push buttons on our KitchenAid dishwasher, including 'Normal Wash', have stopped working. If another wash is selected the only way to get back to the 'Normal Wash' is to cycle the AC power to the unit.

Is there any way I can determine whether the problem is definitely with the Control Panel assembly, or the Electronic control assembly it is connected to? Changing both will be a cost-prohibitive repair.

Also, I live in Canada and would appreciate any help finding a Canadian parts supplier who can supply parts as a reasonable price (they charge over double the AppliancePartsPros price up here), or rhe name of a US supplier who can ship to Canada.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Martin,

Most likely the problem is a bad key pad on the control panel.

APP does not ship parts to Canada. The best solution is: if you have any relatives or friends in US to give their address to APP and they will ship it to you.

- The part number for the black control panel is AP2921061

- The part number for the white control panel is AP2921062

- The part number for the biscuit control panel is AP2921063

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Kitchen Aid dishwasher Model KUDM25SHBL1

Good luck.
Gene.

Hi Gene:

Thanks for the quick response - I think I have someone with a US mailing address.

Regards,
Martin
