Default Dishwasher not starting
Model Number: KUDS01DJSS0   Brand: Kitchen Aid   Age: 5 - 10 years

I cannot start my dishwasher. When I push the Normal cycle button and then the start button, nothing happens. If I hold the start button down for about 15 seconds, then the Rinse Only button will start flashing. When I push the Cookware cycle button, it won't light up. Pushing the Light/China, Quick Cleanup, or Rinse Only cycle buttons have the same effect as the Normal button. Pushing the stop button correctly starts the drain cycle.

Do I need to replace the electronic control assembly? Or there something else going on?

Most likely the problem with your dishwasher is a bad control panel.

- The part number for the control panel (black) is AP3140619

- The part number for the control panel (gray) is AP3174695

- The part number for the control panel (white) is AP3174697

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Kitchen Aid dishwasher Model KUDS01DJSS0

Good luck.
Gene.
