detergent door

Model Number: DU8700XB Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years

Ok, your advice was perfect, so I have another question. The gasket on the detergent door was shot, so I bought a new door, which came with a new spring and plastic axle.

How do I tension the spring so that the door pops open completely?
