I had to buy a new lever (part 823 from Replacement parts for GE GSD2200G03 | AppliancePartsPros.com) because the old one broke off at the hinge.
When I removed the cover on the inside of the dishwasher door to get to the apparatus, I found that the spring and the gear part #828 were just free floating inside of the door. I cannot figure out how to line up the parts on the gears so that he cup will function properly during the cycle.

Does anyone know where I can find instructions on how to fix this? I was hoping they would have come with the part.

I'm a renter, the dishwasher has got to be close to 20 years old, but it seems like such a simple thing to fix because the rest of the machine works fine.
