Model Number: 363.1674590   Brand: Kenmore   Age: 1 - 5 years   

door wont latch unless you use a knife to manipulate the mechanism undeneath the control knob,worked for awhile like that.now,after you get the door latched,the unit starts but remains in the same mode unless you manually turn the control knob.then it seems to perform all functions but only if you manually turn the control knob.thanks for any advice.

I wouldn't think the problem is with your latch then. I would assume it's with your control knob.

Most likely the problem is a bad timer.

- The part number for the timer is AP2039668
