Hello All,
I have a kenmore dishwasher that is about 4 years old. I recently took it apart to clean out the impeller. I also took the opportunity to clean out the drain pump. It is the kind of drain pump that has 3 screws that hold it in on the side. Anyway, I have tried to put it back on several times, but it always leaks. I figure either I am placing the gasket incorrectly or the gasket is bad, but I am not sure. Do I need to replace this gasket, or am I just putting it in wrong?

One more note. I have tried placing the gasket in two different places before screwing in. The first is around the drain pump where it interfaces with the drain pipe. When I do this, a piece of the gasket keeps squeezing out the side. I then just tried this morning putting the gasket inside the drain pipe. This didn't work either.
