Dishwasher Repair

Can anyone tell me what the dimensions should be on the lower rack of a Whirlpool Dishwasher, Model DU810SWPQ3. I have one in my apt. and the lower rack appears too large for the dishwasher and prevents the detergent dispenser from opening during a wash cycle!

I have the exact problem with one of my customer's dishwasher. Hoping to find the answer here. The rack looks just like the picture in the exploded view breakdown. Don't know how it would ever allow the detergent dispenser door to open.
