No water enters the tub when cycles begin. How do I test thewater solenoid to determine if it is functioning properly? I believe the voltage is stepped down because the lead wires appear to be 26ga. or smaller. Thank you.

on this Whirlpool dishwasher the power output to solenoid should be 110 volts if you have power to valve and it doesnt fill replace valve
