Model Number: GSD2100N10BB Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
I'm a female engineer at a motel. I'm wondering if it really makes a difference if I put the white plastic filter ball (I've seen it called a check ball on here, too) back into the collection chamber when I reassembled it, or if I drop it in from the top, in the rigid plastic tube under the flying-saucer-shaped "fine filter". I just read a site that said you must drop the plastic ball back in from the top, not shove it in the collection chamber from out of which it fell when I took the collection chamber off. Won't it drop into the collection chamber even if i drop it in from the top? Come on, guys. Please help me as you are helping so many others.
