I cleaned out 7 years of detritus from my 7 year old Kitchenaid dishwasher (Model KUDR01TJWH0) by removing the lower water wand, screen etc. & replaced the chopper assembly. Also replaced the door latch which had broken. Also took out and cleaned the hard plastic lower to upper water supply housing inside the washer cabinet cavity and removed accumulated dirt. Reassembled and ran it twice through the complete cycle without a problem. The third time, it ran through most of the regular cycle and abruptly stopped completely leaving undrained water in the bottom of the washer cavity. There are no lights at all on the control panel. I have removed the control panel cover and determined with a tester that power is getting to the electronic control board inside. This leads me to think that perhaps it is just coincidence with my cleaning and parts replacement that the electronic control board vs. the control panel may have failed. Since it is difficult for a consumer to assess this and expensive to replace parts by trial and error since electronic components are not returnable, I am hoping someone could respond with any like experience and assistance.

My Kitchen Aid has been doing the same thing - really poor dirt removal. How did you remove the screen and how do you know when the "grinder" is trashed? I'll never go Kitchen Aid again. Did the whole kitchen 9 years ago and have replaced the oven door springs twice, the fridge/freezer door once, the microwave once and dishwasher once! I thought Kitchen Aid was a reputable product!
