I am pretty sure my circulation motor has gone bad. I've performed all the necessary steps to remove the part. I've removed side panels, the appropriate fasteners, disconnected the wires, etc. All that is left is to raise and block the tub so that I can remove the motor. The document I have shows the tub as being able to be separated from the base by about 2 inches but I can only raise it about half an inch. The doc I have also says not to turn the dishwasher on it's back or top. So my first question is: How far should I be able to separate the tub from the base? Next, should it lift easily or do I have to apply more force (like a lever to lift)? Last, is is really unsafe to turn on it's back for the repair or will this cause some damage? Thanks for the help.
