I have a Bosch SHX33A06UC that will be removed and replaced by a new Bosch stainless
steel model as part of a kitchen remodel.
The problem is my sister is interested in the old dishwasher and won't be able to pick it up right away.I live in northern NJ and we are starting to have freezing temperatures now.
I don't have any room in the house to store the old d/w. I might have place a tarp on it and put it out on the outdoor deck or bring it down to an unheated garage area.
I'm worried about residual water in the dishwasher and freezing.
I called Bosch and they will not offer any information about winterizing the unit. They're official answer is call for service.
They told me they do not recommend RV antifreeze.
Obviously I will be disconnecting the AC power and water inlet and be pulling the whole d/w out from the countertop.
But by design, perhaps for water pump seals, there is always a small amont of water inside by the filter area, thta never gets drained.
