I canpush the cycles button and a green light comes on and when i push the options button the green light comes on and it is ready, nothing happens when i push the start button. green lights still stay on but the start button does not do anything. please help:confused:

The first thing I would do is check the door switches for continuity.

What is the complete model number of the dishwasher?

the door contacts must be working if the green lights come on pushing the cycle buttons,the only # i have is p/n154444501, hwere is the serial #.thanks

thanks for the info,what is the door switchs called in the manual and a way to continuity. If you can let me know if the repair is worth it. I'm willing to pay up to $200 or I can buy a new one for around $500. Thanks again for your help.

The following article on our forum will explain in detail how to run a continuity test using either an analog meter or a digital meter - How To Check Continuity With Ohmmeter.

If you are going to fix it yourself then it's going to be probably less than $200, but you have to diagnose the problem right.

The door switches are included in the door latch (#12 on the door diagram).
