Normal Cycle light blinks regardless of what is done to the unit. Have unplugged the unit for > 5 minutes; Have performed the reset routine (pressing heated-dry/Normal; Heated-dry/Normal with the foor open). Based on a troubel shooting test suggested by Armstrong that assists in isolating the trouble to eitehr the control panel or keypad, I determined the Control board was bad. (removed the key pad ribbon and monitor what the using does when power is reapplied). The control board was replaced. but the condition is the same. Are there other steps I can take to isolate the root cause?

The keypad is a part of the control panel and the problem most likely is a shorted key. Whirlpool discontinued white control panel, and only black control panel is still available.
