Soap dispenser no opening

Model Number: SHY66C Brand: Bosch Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

Please tell me if there is a chance the problem is NOT in the actual dispenser. ALL of the rest of the functions work perfectly. I am hoping the problem is concentrated in the dispenser itself, and not in the main control board. Manual release works, dispenser cover spring works. Just won't open during cycle.
