when my dishwasher is off, the 'rinse only', 'start' and 'time remaining' indicator lights are on very dim, what is the cause of that?

has the washer just finished its cycle?? or did you interupt a cycle? did you open the door to see it they go off ? did you have a home power failure ? get you manual out to reset it for power failure. Or when you push the button to start do you sometimes have to play with the button to get it to turn on?? have you been having issues with it running? Im not sure about this model and im not a technican but you start with the basic things first. Is the time delay set to start later? all these factors come in to play. i fixed mine with a thermal fuse kit but it was a different whirlpool model partner II. i would think that yours is simular but i would almost bet money on the door switch going bad or the thermal fuse. try the cheapest things first. the service tech diagram usually is behind the panel next to floor if you need it.

If the display is dim, you have a bad control module. AP3775998
