Default No Power
Brand: Kenmore   Age: 1 - 5 years

My Kenmore dishwasher has no power. An electrician checked the breaker and the connections and there is power to the Electronic Control Assembly. The Electronic Control Assembly was replaced and still no power. The dishwasher was working great before the loss of power. Ideas?

Need model # to help. Look for a thermal fuse that plugs into the electronic module, probably blown. It is a white sort of square thing.

I had the same problem with my Whirlpool dishwasher model: DU1100XTPB7. Replaced the thermal fuse and it fixed the problem; however, one month later I'm having the same problem...no power. I suspect the fuse is not the problem because it's doing what it is supposed to do. The question is why is it blowing...why is circuit overheating?

Thanks,
Randy

I suspect a power surge blew the fuse.Or it could be a timing error from the electronic module. You might want to confirm by checking the current draw at different periods of the wash/drain/heating cycle. If ok you might want to wire in a surge protector.
