Help
My dishwasher is not working at all. (Kenmore Model 665-15919001)
It started about a year ago with the numbers from the "touch/control panel" not displaying properly. You couldn't see the display well enough to tell what cycle it was on. Now it has finally just "kicked the bucket."

I've been on the Sears website.. but I have no idea what part I need?
8269213 Thermal Electronic Fuse
8269205 Dual Digit Display or maybe even
8269187 Electronic Control?

Is the problem with your dishwasher only dim display or something else is wrong?

Gene.

It used to be that only a portion of the numbers would display.

It's been broke for a couple of weeks now.. so if memory serves me correctly the last time I attempted a load of dishes it just wouldn't do anything.

The first thing I would do check if there is 120V from the power outlet under the sink.

Remove the bottom panel and the cover for the junction box. Check for burned wires.

Check the thermal fuse (# 6 on the control panel break down diagram).

Replace if it's open.

Check the door switches (#12 on the control panel break down diagram).

Replace if it's bad.

If nothing of the above is wrong, then replace the control board.

The display board has to be replaced in any case due to dim display.

- The part number for the display board is AP3129616

- The part number for the door switch is AP3039128

- The part number for the control board is AP3775964

- The part number for the thermal fuse is AP3178588

Good luck.
Gene.
