Default Kenmore doesn't clean-"Clean " Flashning Seven times
Model Number: 165-14200   Brand: Sears   Age: 1 - 5 years

I have a Kenmore dishwasher that appears to go through its cleaning cycle however there is soap residue left in dispenser and dishes are not clean. "Clean" light flashes 7 times--does that refer to a trouble code?

Thanks-Merry Christmas !!

The "Clean" light, flashing 7 times means a problem in the heating circuit.

Reset the control as described in the tech's sheets (located in a pouch behind the bottom panel).

If it'll happen again, check the heating element and the high limit thermostat.

The model number you posted is incomplete.

Happy Holidays!

Gene.

Your hot water may be too cold, just increase temperature.
Open door, within 3 seconds hit high temp. scrub, energy saver dry, then repeat (if no such buttons press similar ones} Close door and press cancel. Good luck,Merry Christmas.

I have the same problem with my Kenmore. How do you reset the dishwasher as stated in the early post. There's nothing in my tech sheet.
Thanks.

I was able to reset the flashing green light. There was no error code shown afterwards. Then I ran the normal wash cycle. Took a few minutes
to start. On the screen started at 55, went down to 48 (?) then dropped to 2. Finished out the cycle. Afterwards the flashing green light. I could do the sequence all over again. Neal

Check your service sheet. The dishwasher is sensing a bad heater. Check the heater and heater thermostat.
