Default small hole repair
Brand: Kenmore   Age: 1 - 5 years

I found a small hole, about the size of a ballpoint pen point, in the bottom of my dishwasher which has created a leak. What would be the best way to patch it . It's right below the heat coil.

Thanks, Jon V

Silicone cement will not last on vinyl tub. Best to use a real vinyl cement. Check at a hardware store or Lowes.
Also, if the hole is acessable, use some glue and a chrome screw.

Thanks for the help. I did the Mrfixall patch and used aquarium silicone which I've used on my hot tub. I guess the dishwasher tub is plastic, I'm not sure what else it would be. I will be doing a Christmas day test drive, I'll let you all know how it goes. Again thanks to all and have a wonderful holiday.

Thanks to all, leak has stopped. I guess I'll cover the patch with vinyl cement just to make sure....Thanks again, Jon V
