Default Coverting portable dishwasher to permanent
Model Number: MDC4650A   Brand: Maytag   Age: Less than 1 year

Can I just cut the faucet adapter off and attach the water feed and the drain lines to existing permanent lines? On a previous Maytag model, I had to replace the water inlet valve with a different valve to make the installation permanent. This model was from 1982 and I had to purchase an installation kit to do this. Was wondering if there was an easier way to accomplish by task.
Thanks

The only way to convert a portable dishwasher into a built in is to use a special conversion kit designed by the Maytag.

- The part number for the dishwasher conversion kit is AP398418

Happy Holidays!

Gene.
