Default Dishwasher bottom leaking slowly from sump
Model Number: GSD400W-56AD   Brand: GE   Age: More than 10 years

I fixed something in my dishwasher for the first time (broken spray arm). When I put it back, I was trying to make sure that nothing was leaking. I noticed that there was indeed a small leak, but from a spot that I did not touch.
The leak was from the portion where sump is connected to the bottom of the tub. I tried fastening the sump mounting clamp a bit more, but that actually increased the pace of leaking. Loosening it a bit reduced the leakage again (around 3 drops a minute).
I am not sure if this leakage was always there, or has it been caused by me jostling the machine around a bit.

It seems it is leaking around the rim where it connects to the tub.
Any suggestions? I have read something about the silicone adhesive on the net. Is that something to try (pasting it all over the border)? Where do I get it? Any other suggestions?

Thanks.
