Check valve for pump sump
Model Number: 665.15939000 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
Hi,
I don't know if the check valve in my Kenmore dishwasher is functioning properly. Does the flap needs to be in a straight up and down or floating loosely in a 90 degree angle in the drain (this is how I found it). It seemed that if I pulled the whole assembly up the flap corrects itself (up/down). If I push on the body/upper tab and make it flush, the flap is very loose and could position itself in the 90 deg position. In the pic, the tab/body I am talking about is at the bottom.
