I can't open the soap dispenser to put in soap before washing dishes.
The dishwasher was purchased used and just installed

Take the door apart and look on the inter door. Sometimes the sticky insulation will slide down the door and getting the way of the soap cup operation. If this is the case pull it off and discard it. Dishwasher Repair Guide
