Default Only Cancel works on KitchenAid
Model Number: KUDM01FKSS0   Brand: Kitchen Aid   Age: 1 - 5 years

Any of the green lights go on when they are selected, but only the cancel button starts the motor. Something that may be a clue is that we always used heavy wash and that stopped working. So when testing the door switch (which has gone bad in the past) I put it on Normal wash and it came on. Since the door was open, I stopped it. It hasn't come on again since. Then, the same thing happend with Light wash. Came on once, never again. Now only cancel is working.

Could this be the electronic control board and is there a sure way to test it?

Any suggestions on anywhere else I might troubleshoot?

Thanks

Tim

Default One other clue I noticed...

When I press the Cancel Button, the Green light comes on by Cancel. Then, if I activate the door switch, the motor activates and the Cancel light stays on. This is not true of the Heavy, Normal or Light Wash switches. They all come on when pressed. But when I press the door switch button, they immediately go out.

Thanks

Tim
