Model Number: GU2700XTSS0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
There's power to the outlet, no breaker tripped so I don't know what the problem might be. I think I'm out of warranty so anything I can check would be appreciated. Is there a fuse inside it anywhere, or something like that?
The controls don't even light up, and now there's a bit of water in there that is smelling. Before I call repair, I'd like to get some idea on how to troubleshoot it. Thanks! Ads By Google Related Models |

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL GU2700XTSS0 | AppliancePartsPros.com Here is a tech sheet https://www.servicematters.com/docs/...%208572216.pdf First would be to check power to the unit, have had a couple lately where there was power at the plug but it was not getting into the unit due to a bad connection where the line cord attaches to the dishwasher wiring re: a bad wire nut connect. Next check out Item 6 in the "Control panel" section. These can blow for a number of reasons either by temperature or current. You will need a meter. I would check the vent resistance as a possible cause, perhaps it is not opening. Check that the thermistor is within spec. The above does not eliminate but does reduce the chances that it will blow again. Also if it is gone be sure to check that the heater is not on all the time which would indicate that the heater relay contacts are welded together.

Thanks for the advice. Would that fuse be the cause of the entire control panel not lighting up? And if I look at it, would it show that it's blown?
I'll take a peek at it this weekend, and post the results. Thanks again! |

Yes And if I look at it, would it show that it's blown? I do not think so. You will need a meter to check it.
