Model Number: SHU3036 UC/U12 Brand: Bosch Age: 5 - 10 years
I'm replacing the timer control and after taking the door off I noticed that there is some type of dried up white substance between the thermostat and the metal door. It's partially gone and may be part of the problem of looooong cycles (will also verify resistance of thermostat to sure it's ok).
What is this white cream? I'm guessing it protects vibration between the metal panel and the thermostat, while permitting heat transfer. Can I simply wipe it off, or should I use lithium grease, or dialectric grease or some other magical substance? Many thanks for any guidance—which strangely I can't seem to find anywhere! ~Dave Ads By Google Related Models |
