Frigidaire Dishwasher
Model Number: PLD2850RDC1 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
The control panel does not allow me to select Normal Wash or Light wash both racks. Both of which would save me money on electric and water usage. What is the most likely cause and least expensive repair option.

The likely cause would be a failed user interface (AP3560813), but the least expensive repair would be to get into the control board and clean the ends of the ribbon cable from the interface with a pencil eraser, and make sure it is mounted securely to the board. If that doesn't do it, then it's back to a failed user interface.
