My Kenmore Ultra Wash QuietGuard dishwasher stopped last night during the rinse cycle and now it won't work at all. I tried resetting the circuit breaker, changing the cycle, and I checked the electric for problems. I don't see any issues. Does anyone have any idea why this dishwasher would just stop?? Are there any suggestions for what I can check or look for? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!!

The first thing I would do is check for 120V from the power outlet under the sink.

If there is nothing wrong, then remove the bottom panel from the dishwasher, remove the cover from the junction box and check for burned wires.

Thanks Gene, I'll buy a meter and check the 120V (it's hard wired), maybe the box blew?? I did pull the bottom off and checked the junction box and didn't see any issues with the wires. I looked wherever I could under the diswasher and didn't see anything unusual. I also checked for anything loose... nada there too.

Hey scooter. Check your door latch switches. There are 2 on the latch. Double Break switches. They are a very common problem on these dishwashers.Switch kit is AP3103581. Also check the junction box connections for burned or broken wires.:) wrench

Dishwasher FIXED!!

I had power going to the dishwasher, so when all else fails, re-wire the connection. I took the panel apart, disconnected and re-connected the wires and bingo, the dishwasher worked.

When all else fails, check the actual connection!! Thanks for all the help!!

Thanks everyone for the information, saved me a bunch of time and money.

Thought you might like to see what my connections looked like after I removed the base panel and box cover. Funny, such a common problem, makes one wonder.
