have a hotpoint dishwasher HDA2220. The middle water tube dispenser is not rising and spining the blade. It is dispensing water. It looks like its running at 50%. The water pressure is good and the motor fan can be seen running and sound fine. Any clues? Thanks

Here are your parts
Model Search

Remove the sump cover and the inside filter. Note how it goes on, put it back the wrong way and the chopper will eat it.

Check the sump for debris.
Check that the chopper is free of twist ties, string etc.
Rotate the chopper by hand someone else should be able to see the motor armature turning.

Check that the wash/drain solenoid (left hand side of pump is all the way up (wash position).
Remove the wash arm assembly and check that area.
Check that the black seal in the center of the wash/drain flapper is still there.

There are other possible causes but this should keep you busy for a while.
