My Whirlpool Quiet Partner III model# GU2400XTPS1 has a rapidly flashing light over what would be the "normal" setting button. There are no breaks in this flashing, nor are any other lights showing. Any attempts I have made at pushing any other buttons has NO effect on this blinking whatsoever.

I don't know if there is a sequence whirlpool has programmed in that will allow me to reset it, or if pulling it out and unplugging it would amount to the same thing.

Does anybody know what this problem is and how I can fix it?

I'm new here but I would appreciate any help that could be provided.

Unplugging it or tripping the breaker for half an hour or so, may reset it.

Could be a shorted key, remove the keypad ribbon cable from the control board and check it with a meter as per tech sheet.

Is there a manual on disassembly? I have the exact same problem, and suspect the control unit has gone bad (co-incidentally right after warranty expired), but need to get an idea on how to pull the panel.

Actually, I tried a reset sequence I got from another forum, using the normal and heated dry buttons, and noticed that it is NOT the clean light that is flashing rapidly, but the normal button led. Does this sound familiar? I checked the trouble sheet on the wiring diagram but couldn't find anything.

Not the same but I think the door comes apart the same as the below

Could be you have a stuck closed Normal key.
See the tech sheet on checking the keypad.
