Hi,

We have had a problem our Bosch Dishwasher (Model # SHU66C05UC\14) with the Detergent Door Not Opening during the wash cycles. It doesn't always happen, and we sometimes find that if you heat the water prior to running the Dishwasher it opens. Sometimes it doesn't. This is our second Bosch, and this is the first problem that we've ever encountered. If this is a specific Parts Issue, which part is it? How do you replace it? Any help would be appreciated.

Does the door open properly if you release the latch manually?

Visually inspect the door rails.

Yes the door opens manually and slides to the left. The problem is the detergent door doesn't always open during the wash cycle. And the rinse agent doesn't always release the agent.

In such situation I would recommend to replace the detergent dispenser (# 7 on the door assembly break down diagram).

- The part number for the detergent dispenser AP2834000

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Bosch dishwasher Model SHU66C05 UC/14 (FD 8211-)

I was having the exact same problem and followed your advice, ordered the part from here and installed the part myself. Works great now and probably saved me a couple hundred $$$$
