I bought in Dec. 2002 this dishwasher.
The water comes in is swirls around fine but it does not drain . Ichecked the sink drain and it is fine.
To get to the solenoid valve or the sump pump do I need to remove door and or how to go to it?

Before you will tear down the dishwasher I would recommend to check the air gap on top of the sink and the drain hose all the way from the dishwasher to the air gap, or to the garbage disposer if there is no air gap installed.

I understood that the drainage hose needs to have a 20 inch elevation to insure that there is always water to keep the pump primed.
Is there another air gap anywhere?

I decided to run a cycle in a bucket and to my astonishment it was draining???It seems that at the junction with the sink debries had collected enough to prevent drainage.
Thank you Gene for making me double check the obvious.
I am happy I did not need to changed the sump pump because they did not leave us much space to work. It is like they think we need to save space like it was on a space kraft or that we carry our dishwasher were ever we go.
It was my first experience using a forum and it won't be the last.
