Model Number: GSD6700G00WW Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
Had a leak and replaced the water inlet and installed a new agitator kit. The leak is now gone. But the new problem is that the tub will fill but the motor won't run. The tub will also drain. The motor has a hum and then it gets warm. It did not spin. Pulled the motor, removed the pump/agitator, connected the motor leads to power, and it spins. Did this several times and it spun each time. Tried to check the capacitor but got zero reading - not sure what that means. So, does this model have a starting relay and could it be bad? Or does it need a new capacitor? It looks like it is 10 microF at 250V AC. The only thing that looks like a part number is 613.6001405. What would you suggest? Thanks alot!
