Model Number: GSD3220Z02BB Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
Timer went bad in mid cycle, washer stayed in wash cycle for hours. I replaced the timer, which now works fine. However it now appears that little or no water is getting into the machine. Could water pump/motor have burned out when the timer went bad? I can hear water running when the machine calls for it, but when I open the washer, very little water is evident, top rack items bearely wet, liquid detergent not even disolved. Does this sound like a pump/motor problem or a bad water valve?

Remove the bottom panel and check the drain solenoid (on the left side of the pump).
A bad timer could damage a solenoid and if it stuck in the drain position, then water running in and out at the same time. - The part number for the drain solenoid AP2039683 - Here are the break down diagrams for the GE dishwasher Model GSD3220Z02BB Gene.
