My kitchenaid dryer wasnt drying clothes. I open back and cleaned out vent and around blower motor. Took off heating element found coil broke so I bought a new one and installed it along with new thermal fuse. Dryer worked perfect. Dried 4 loads of clothes. When I went back and took out sheets entire dryer was very hot to touch so was sheets. Waited awhile put in another load and dryer won't start. I have been having a issue for awhile with my timer. When a load was finished and I would turn timer to set for another load dryer would come on with each cycle I passed but dryer still worked. Then all this started. Anyways after the last load and dryer body was very hot now dryer won't start. I took back panel off. Heating element is fine nothing looks out of place. Door switch turns light off. You can hear the timer when you set it. The start button clicks but dryer won't turn on. Any idea where I should look next out what the problem could be. I am by no chance a mechanic just a handy house wife with a very tight budget so I am hoping to fix this myself. Can someone help?
