My Maytag 949 just turned a year old last month and the Cycles, Start, or Cancel/drain buttons don't function or light up. The options (high temp, heated dry, sanitize) function without issue.

I want a way to verify whether there is some issue with the control panel before purchasing a control panel, as I bought a new control board that is working without problem.

Today I removed the presentation sticker on the front of the panel that covers the brains of the panel and ribbons and noticed what looks like brown condensation near the ribbons that when I track them up, connect to the non functioning buttons. I tried swabbing this condensation off the ribbon, but still see some tracking onto the ribbon itself. I assume this is the problem but would love some verification and any thoughts on whether condensation is normal in these panels.

Thanks in advance for a response :):):)
