Whirlpool dishwasher motor hums, won't run
Model Number: DU1055XTPB4 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
My dishwasher fills and empties with water, but the motor only hums and doesn't run. It turns free when pushing on fins with a screwdriver. Could it be the capacitor? Or something else?

Most likely the motor has gone bad and has to be replaced.
