How do I take the pump and the motor apart? do I need to if I'm working on a draining problem?

:) NO, don't take it apart!!! If it wont drain, check the drain solonoid, Its just to the left of center, It should make a "clunk" noise when activated, If it works, it should drain, If not, remove the cover at the very rear inside of the unit, on most of these, there is a plunger that unscrews, replace the plunger and it will pump out!!! The part that I think you need is #564 plunger&nut!!!!
