it works if you fill it manually took the valve off and the solenoid wont open the valve not sure about the control timer

Here is the parts breakdown
Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL SHU30041 | AppliancePartsPros.com it works if you fill it manually I assume you mean that the dishwasher runs OK if filled manually took the valve off and the solenoid wont open the valve not sure about the control timer As long as you are sure the valve is not opening I would replace it. As far as the controller, measure the voltage at the valve wires when the unit should be filling with a meter. Should be 120 volts.
