Hi,
I am trying to figure out if the rinse aid in this d/w is dispensing. It was here when I bought the house (eleven years ago!) and has always worked GREAT. Never a problem. Recently I noticed a very slight film on the [metal] flatware and called a repairman. (The glass comes out crystal clear.) He checked everything obvious, said there was no issue with water temperature, cycling, pressure, etc., and then noticed there was no rinse aid in the dispenser. I had never known I was supposed to put rinse aid in there, so I got some Jet-Dry, filled it up, and expected some improvement.

It's been about three months and there is no change. Every time I unscrew the dispenser and look, the Jet Dry still reaches up to the top.

I'm not sure if its supposed to be that way (just continually pushed upward) or if its clogged and not dispensing. Is there any way to check?

Plus, I can't find any "outlet hole" or whatnot - I'm not even sure how its supposed to get out of the reservoir. Am I supposed to leave it slightly unscrewed or something? The manual (which I downloaded off the web) does not mention this at all. Just says its "automatically dispensed." Of course, they probably didn't realize that someone would keep this old workhouse around this long! But its a great appliance, and I'd really like to keep it working right.
