I have a MayTag dishwasher that for some reason stopped spraying water so it will not wash.

I checked the spray arm assembly and the parts inside. There is 1 part in particular I was not sure of. It is the Small part that floats between the Spray nozzle in the center and the path that water comes up from the motor. At first it was lodged sideways and I am sure it was not supposed to be that way.

I cleaned many hard water deposits out of the spray arm assembly.

When the spray arm assembly is removed it churns water like a cyclone but it doesn't want to push it through the assembly??

What should I do where should I look next and what part do you think I need.

Thanks in advance for any advice
