The door on my dishwasher wasn't working properly - needed to replace the latch assembly. I have the new one. I pulled off the back two wires and easily slipped them on to the connectors of the new latch assembly. The front two wires seem to connect slightly differently. I pulled the plastic connectors off - but the metal inside came with from old latch assembly. I think the front two wire connectors are different - and don't just slide on. Do I need to cut the wires and put on new connectors? Need a different latch assembly? what do I do?

I am a little confused on this.
Are you saying that the connector (male lug) actually pulled out of the switch?
They can be very tight and difficult to remove.
If so grab the end of the broken lug with a set of pliers. Then use a flat screw driver of the correct size and place it between the female connector and the pliers. Then twist the screw driver to force the female connector back off the male connector. You may have to work back and forth between the left and right.
In case they have done something weird with this check for a connector lock on the female connector. This would be part of the plastic connector/cover and usually it pushes in to release.

You should not have to do this.

Take a look at the parts to see if your new latch matches.
